Post-Graduate Pathways
At Colby, learning and opportunity extend far beyond campus boundaries. Through expansive networks and institutional relationships, we connect students with institutions, organizations, and other resources, enabling them to pursue their passions anywhere in the world.
While all applicants are considered for the programs, we welcome sharing interest in any or all of the programs by completing a form emailed to those who have applied to the College. University of Chicago Advanced Scholars Program
The Advanced Scholars program at the University of Chicago offers talented undergraduate students the opportunity to apply to select UChicago master’s programs and receive an offer of admission as early as their junior year of college. Colby’s partnership with UChicago allows select Colby students to participate in the Advanced Scholars program as early as their freshman year, leading up to the opportunity to apply to one or more master’s programs.
As part of the Advanced Scholars program, students will have access to virtual programming from UChicago throughout their undergraduate years, can bypass the typical master’s application process, and will be awarded a one-time $5,000 scholarship upon matriculation to a designated master’s program. Participating students must meet the academic requirements of their desired program and graduate in good standing from Colby.
University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education Early Acceptance Program
The University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE) Early Acceptance Program provides a structured pathway for select Colby undergraduate students to receive conditional admission to a participating Penn GSE master’s degree program, with the opportunity to matriculate at Penn GSE following completion of their undergraduate degree.
As part of the Early Acceptance Program, Penn GSE may provide activities such as information sessions and program updates, alumni and career-services engagement, campus-visit opportunities, and access to select workshops or programming. Participating students must meet the academic requirements of their desired program and graduate in good standing from Colby.

Engineering Dual-Degree Programs
Our dual-degree programs allow you to earn both a Colby degree and an undergraduate engineering degree from either Dartmouth College or Columbia University. You get the best of both worlds—the opportunity to explore the liberal arts while pursuing a technical focus in the field of engineering. For both programs, students are required to take a set of foundational courses at Colby followed by engineering-focused courses at the partner institution. Students can expect to apply to the program(s) during their sophomore and/or junior year at Colby.
